In the 1950s, the first IAMSTM product, IAMSTM 999, is launched. It is the first pet food to use animal-based protein as the primary protein source in a pet food.

The ’90s is a decade of innovation for IAMSTM as it introduces a line of natural pet food, canned cat food, and research showing the connection between omega-6, omega-3, and healthy skin and coat.
In the 2000s, IAMSTM introduces IAMSTM Premium ProtectionTM, the most advanced IAMSTM formula yet, and adds DHA to all puppy formulas to help brain development.and coat.
In the past few years, IAMSTM has stayed busy, introducing ShakeablesTM dog treats, IAMSTM Woof DelightsTM, and IAMSTM Purrfect DelicacieTM, and updating package designs for several iconic product families.
